Durban DSTV has been in business for many years, and have heard some horror stories from clients who have had bad experiences with technicians and equipment.  Here are some of the most common questions we get asked by new clients.

Question: How quickly do you attend to calls and queries?

We work on a maximum of 24 hours turnaround for calls, voicemails and emails.  Although our accredited Ellies installers are extremely busy, we have dedicated support staff who attend to all messages, calls and emails on a daily basis.

Please note that any voicemails or emails which are sent to Durban DSTV on weekends or public holidays will be attended to on the next working day.  Existing clients have access to our emergency lines where you will be able to contact a professional DSTV technician on weekends and public holidays.

Question: Do you install second hand equipment?

Durban DSTV will only provide and install brand new equipment.  Although you might have bought the decoder and dish yourself and require assistance with the installation, which we are able to assist with, we only supply brand new equipment ourselves.

If you have ordered your DSTV decoder or DSTV dish from us and we happen to run out of stock, we will arrange an alternative day for your installation as we will need to get new stock directly from the manufacturer.

Question: Do you test the picture or do I have to do it myself?

Part of the process for all accredited Ellies installers is to test the installation, therefore all DSTV installations are tested before the DSTV installation is completed.  We do not want our clients to be left with problems after our technicians have left, all our technicians will install, do the dstv repairs in Dbn and TEST the installation for you.

Question: Do you leave the property during installation?

Many people have had problems with technicians who battle to get the installation done, they leave the client’s property and never return.  The professional DSTV installers at Durban DSTV will not leave your property until the installation is complete and you are 100% happy.

If there is an emergency and the technician does need to get assistance, the technician will remain on your property until the assistance has arrived.  Durban DSTV strives to ensure that all installations are done in a timely manner and our accredited Ellies installer will stay after hours until the installation is complete if necessary.

Question: Who cleans up after the installation?

We know how frustrating it is to have someone working on your property and then once their task is done they leave, but your home looks like a bomb hit it!  Our professional and friendly installers will clean up after they have finished installing your DSTV, ensuring that your property is left in the same condition that it was in when we arrived.
